Horse owners and horse riders know from their own experience that there is a bond between their horse and themselves – and often not just a bond but a deep level of intuitive communication. With some horses, this bond and intuitive communication is deeper than with others.
Children and adults who ride regularly often notice that just as they experience different degrees of attraction to certain people, so they also experience degrees of attraction towards and intuitive understanding of certain horses. They understand, perhaps at an unconscious level, that there is an art to communicating with horses and other animals.
You may be one of these people. Horses respond to you and you respond to horses. You might even say that horses give you messages. Your horse may be the first to notice when something is amiss and you are not quite your usual self.
If you are working regularly with horses, perhaps as a holistic vet or in the racing industry, you are more than likely deeply attuned to the wellbeing of the horses in your care. You celebrate their enjoyment of life and feel their suffering when they are hurt or sick. You recognize that healing is an art as well as a science.
And you sense that this is not a one-way street. Your horse or horses respond to your energy just as you respond to theirs. Consciously or unconsciously, you work as a team, each supporting the other as best you can.
This is where The Healing Arts comes into the picture.
Perhaps your horse or even yourself has a long-standing physical problem that just won’t go away. You’ve tried every remedy that you, your friends and your colleagues can suggest. You’ve consulted the recognized experts and they are equally puzzled by this symptom. So you are now looking for a holistic solution using natural remedies.
Or maybe it is yourself who has an emotional issue that just hangs around, a bit like an aching tooth that continually distracts you from getting on with your life.
